Our story · Guangxi to the world
LUOJIN is a contemporary design house built around China’s living brocade traditions—honouring the hand, translating the archive and making culture part of modern life.

“Heritage is not something to preserve behind glass. It is a language that stays alive by being spoken.”
Our story begins with Zhuang brocade in Guangxi, one of China’s Four Great Brocades and a national intangible cultural heritage. Its precise geometry carries generations of local memory, belief and joyful colour.
We work from that living vocabulary—never copying it as ornament, but understanding its rhythm and meaning before shaping it for a contemporary object. Every bag is a meeting between inherited knowledge and modern use.

The heritage
Zhuang brocade is built thread by thread on a traditional loom. Mountains, rivers, flowers and protective forms become ordered patterns—visual stories designed to be carried into everyday life. Our mostly ivory collection reveals the construction of the weave through light and shadow.
The craft process
No two woven panels are completely identical. The slight variation in tension and rhythm is not a flaw; it is the signature of a living hand.
Silk-rich yarns are chosen for lustre, strength and a clean expression of pattern.
Ivory, pearl and mist tones are balanced so natural light reveals the weave.
Warp and weft meet slowly on the loom, forming symbolic geometry by hand.
The textile is cut, structured and finished with leatherwork for modern daily use.

Modern evolution
We adjust scale, negative space and colour so historic motifs can sit naturally beside a white shirt, tailoring or denim. Contemporary structure gives the textile a new role without erasing its origin.
Tradition provides the grammar. Modern life gives it a new sentence.
A growing house of textiles
LUOJIN begins with Zhuang brocade. Future chapters will thoughtfully explore Yun brocade from Nanjing, Shu brocade from Chengdu and Song brocade from Suzhou—each tradition presented on its own terms.
Bold geometry, strong rhythm and enduring symbolism.
Cloud-like splendour shaped by imperial artistry.
Refined colour and poetic landscapes from Sichuan.
Classical order, subtle colour and scholarly elegance.
Mission & values
Long-term collaboration creates meaningful work and supports the transfer of specialised weaving knowledge.
Small batches let us respect material, reduce excess and focus attention on every finished object.
We name origins, explain motifs and avoid treating heritage as anonymous decoration.
Timeless forms and repair-minded construction encourage a slower, longer relationship with what we own.
