Care Guide

Brocade is a living textile. Thoughtful handling will preserve its luminosity, structure and intricate woven surface.

Everyday care
Handle with clean, dry hands. Avoid contact with rain, oils, cosmetics, perfume and dark garments that may transfer dye. Do not overfill the bag or place it on rough surfaces.

If the bag becomes wet
Blot gently with a clean, soft white cloth. Do not rub, wring or apply heat. Allow the bag to air-dry naturally in a shaded, well-ventilated place.

Cleaning
Do not machine wash, soak or dry-clean the full bag. Avoid alcohol, bleach, household cleaners and leather wipes on brocade. For a persistent mark, contact a textile or leather specialist experienced with delicate natural fibers.

Storage
Empty the bag after use and lightly support its shape with acid-free tissue. Store it upright in its dust bag, away from humidity, direct sunlight and heat. Do not seal it inside plastic for long periods.

Leather and hardware
Wipe leather trim with a dry, soft cloth. Keep metal fittings away from moisture and chemicals. Test any specialist leather conditioner on an inconspicuous area first and never apply it to the woven textile.

Natural variation
Minor differences in weave, motif placement and surface texture are not defects. They are characteristic of small-batch brocade and make every piece individual.
